Training Large Language Model for Turkish and German Language Support

IoTIQ, a software-engineering SME, is actively involved in R&D for international projects, with a recent participation in the CULTURATI project funded by Horizon Europe RIA. CULTURATI leverages AI to balance the visitor distribution among the cultural site or museum and improve interactions via gamification, question generation, and NLP. The project prefers open-source LLMs to use for their privacy compliance and on-premise deployment, despite the need for extensive fine-tuning and High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources. These models particularly require enhancement for languages like Turkish and German. CULTURATI also aims to support curators by developing tools for content generation and relationship extraction, further necessitating advanced HPC infrastructure. Detailed information is available on the project’s website (https://culturati.eu/).
