National Cooperation

Scientific Research Projects

TRUBA can meet the needs of different institutions and organizations as well as individual researchers. The computing and equipment requests of the research project applications submitted to TÜBİTAK ARDEB (Academic Research Funding Program Directorate) have been reviewed by TRUBA researchers since 2007. Resource support is provided to scientifically accepted projects that can work with TRUBA resources. Within the framework principles set by the ULAKBİM Board of Directors in 2010; the cooperation with ARDEB can also be realized with other TÜBİTAK Support Units affiliated to TÜBİTAK. TRUBA has also been preferred by researchers for their resource needs for the university Scientific Research Projects since 2016.

Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK)

Meeting the data analysis and computing needs of High Energy Physics researchers, who play an important role in the participation of TRUBA in European distributed computing systems, operation of the Tier-2 centers and their involvement in the studies carried out in CERN are provided by the cooperation between ULAKBİM and TAEK since 2005.

Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD)

In order to centralize, organize, store and share data from all seismic stations established by various institutions/organizations, universities and research centers in our country Earthquake Data Center of Turkey has been established by AFAD.

A technical cooperation was arranged with TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM in the establishment of this center. All data received in AFAD-TDVM (Earthquake Data Center of Turkey) are converted into the international standards in this field by use of the TRUBA computing resources. All data are conjugately stored in both AFAD and TRUBA storage sources.

Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems

TRUBA provided the computing and storage resources required by the “True Orthophoto and Geospatial Data Generation Project” tendered by the Turkish Natural Catastrophe Insurance Pool (DASK) and carried out under the coordinatorship of the General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.

TRUBA Operations Center has provided the parallel computing and data storage required during Turkey’s True Orthophoto Production along with technical support service.
