The European High-Performance Computer Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), of which Türkiye is a participant member, was launched in 2018 to support and develop Europe-wide High-Performance Computing (HPC) studies in the field of infrastructure and technology.

Within this framework, the EuroCC initiative establishes National Competence Centres (NCCs) across participating countries to accelerate the adoption of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and related advanced  technologies. Building on the achievements of the first phase (2020–2022) and EuroCC 2 (2023–2026), the third phase of the initiative, EuroCC 3, started in April 2026.

TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM leads NCC Türkiye and bring together expertise from academia, industry, and the public sector to expand the use of HPC in areas such as materials science, molecular modelling, bioinformatics, computational fluid dynamics, and data-intensive research.

Together with its affiliated partners; Middle East Technical University (METU), Sabancı University, and the Istanbul Technical University National Center for High-Performance Computing (ITU-UHeM); NCC Türkiye delivers a comprehensive portfolio of services, including training programmes, workshops, seminars, technical consultancy, and access guidance to national and European supercomputing infrastructures.

Through EuroCC 3, NCC Türkiye aims to strengthen the national HPC ecosystem  and enable researchers, companies, and public institutions to harness the full potential of advanced computing technologies.
